Easter Festivities

We enjoyed many fun activities to gear up for Easter Sunday. We had two egg hunts and went to an Easter craft/greet the Easter Bunny at Maeve & Liam's new school for Fall. Maeve & Liam are terrified of the Easter Bunny and won't go near him. Liam told me today, he prefers Santa with his white beard and will sit on his lap again next year, but not the Easter Bunny. Maeve agreed.

We spent Easter at Lois & Jerry's at the Cape with Heather, Roy & Kate and Lois and Jerry's friends, Helen and Michael. It was an exceptionally warm day which was spent mostly outdoors. Lois had a jelly bean hunt for the kids which was great fun.

Next year we are going to church.

Children are so observant

Liam likes to open my "junk drawer" and see what he can find. Last night he found a beloved picture of my Grandparents and my Grandfathers arm was lovingly around my Grandmother--where it usually was most of the time.

Liam looks at the picture and says "they love each other so much". Yes they do. Liam was right on the money as they were madly in love and married just shy of 70 years. Miss you Grandma. See you soon Grandpa.

Liam the Princess

Liam is such a funny kid and he knows it. Maeve had on her Cinderella dress and the next thing I know, I turn around to see Liam dressed in this pink dress exclaiming he is ready to take Maeve to the Ball. I loved how he put on the Cinderella ears and matching heels too. I was hysterical, tears coming down my face I was laughing so hard. Liam was right with me laughing too and Miss Maeve didn't know what to think of it--it went way over her head, LOL. I love 3.5 year olds.

Disney World

Finally, our Spring vacation had arrived. We had a cold, snowy winter and Florida sunshine couldn't come soon enough. We flew into West Palm to see Mom & Dad and took a detour to Disney World for a few days. Helen joined us in Florida and it was wonderful to spend the week together, kids loved their Auntie's attention.

Quotes from the vacation. When driving home from dinner one night, we passed a Chili's and Dad asked if Karl and I have ever taken the kids to Chili's before? Maeve chimes in and says "Poppi its not chilly outside, its warm"...too cute. The next day Karl mentioned taking the kids on a golf cart ride to look for alligators. Karl asked the kids what alligators eat and Maeve says "noooooot us", it was perfect timing.

We decided to take the kids to Disney when they were 3.5 years old knowing it would be very magical for them and for us to watch. We are SO happy we went even with the long days and some rain, it was worth every penny.

We spent two days at Magic Kingdom and we all had a blast. They LOVED seeing their favorite characters and princesses from afar, but were scared to death up close, clinging on to us for life. We took the kids to dinner with pooh, tiger, eeyore & piglet one night and Maeve had a tough time up close. She told us "I don't want them to bother me anymore", she really was scared.

Kids love the parade, the tea cups was Maeve's favorite and Liam enjoyed the carousel and dumbo ride. Maeve wanted cinderlla wizard ears and Liam picked out a character watch and was happy enough.

We will cherish the memories and the magic in their eyes the first time they saw all their favorite characters marching down Main Street and Sleeping Beauty on the main stage.

Can't wait to go back soon.
