Ireland 3rd Birthday

Trip to Ireland to kick off your 3rd Birthday
September 2010 ( posted June 2011 )

This was such a busy year for both of you. We kicked off your 3rd Bday with a visit to Ireland to see Nana, Papa, Aunite Helen, and Auntie Tina, Connor and Daniel came in for a weekend so we all could be together. We spent our visit at Phoenix Park, Wicklow Mountain to check out sheep, Powerscourt House & Gardens to see where Mommy & Daddy were married, a 30th Woodstock themed Birthday party for Auntie Lou Lou, A visit to Great Nana, Ardgillan Castle & Playground, Dublin Zoo, walks on the Beach and a Princess and Spiderman 3rd Birthday Party Celebration. You had a great visit. You missed your structure but really adored your freedom to go for walks down the road and play in the Garden. We can't wait to go back.

Maeve you are so sweet and smiley, and a girl of "few words". You relied on Liam to do most of the talking but you knew what you wanted and you able to tell us or grunt until we gave it to you. You really adore your Godmother, Auntie Helen, and love spending time with her. You played well with Conner and Daniel and were a joy to be around.

Liam, oh you are such a ham. You love the attention like your Papa and cousin Daniel. You are a very funny little boy and know how to make people laugh. You are also very stubborn and had a few meltdowns while in Ireland. You were missing your structured daily routines and hadn't yet masterd solo play and/or imaginary play with your sister. You loved visiting the horse down the road, but would always make either Daddy or me carry you back home. You always know how to win, but we love you so.

Soccer Clinic Prep

Maeve & Liam are going to a 6 week soccer clinic for 3-5 year olds. Of course we had to get cleats, shin guards & soccer balls. We were lucky to get a hand me down pair of cleats so we only needed to get one pair for Maeve.
I took kids to Sports Authority and they were in heaven kicking their pink n blue soccer balls with cleants & shin guards.

Soccer here we come~

Annual Father Day Pics

For the past three years I have taken "D-A-D" pictures to give to Karl on Father's Day. I wanted to take this years pictures at Larz Anderson Park, but I never made it. Pics this year are in our tiny backyard with superhero masks/capes that were given the day before at a birthday party.

We love you Dad. 3 years 10 months

Ms Trica's Graduation Cermony

Maeve & Liam graduated from the playgroup they began attending at 2 years 3 months. Kids attend from ages 2-5 and its a preschool as well, but many kids go for the playgroup/socialization if they miss the cut off and need 3 years of preschool.

They marched to pomp and circumstance with their graduation caps. The ceremony was composed of everything they had learned throughout the year including Our Father, Hail Mary, Pledge of Allegiance, signing the alphabet/days of week/months of year, singing God Bless America, My Country Tis of Thee, This Land is Your Land etc. After the ceremony, they were called by first and last name and walked up to their teacher to shake hands and received a diploma and giftbag which included a photo album from the 1.5 years they attended school.

We have another milestone behind us and we will miss Ms Tricia dearly, but kids are happy to be out of school. ( And they have 1 day/week at Summer Camp at Ms T's until "big kid" School starts in September)

Where does the time go.

Pics include Ms. Tricia and BFF Charlotte Perry

Duxbury Beach

We hit Duxbury Beach for the first time this Summer. Kids screamed in happiness as we drove over the "wobbily bridge" and asked to turn off the tv and role down their windows. Mom joined us for the afternoon and we all loved our visit together. As we were watching the kids splash their feet in the water, she said "they could grow up here", Oh do I hope so!
