Election Day is here and kids have been talking about it at school and reading scholastic magazines on the process and candidates.
Maeve's vote is for Barack Romeny and Liam's vote is for George Washington as the next Prisoner. He learned about George Washington from playing Bingo with Karl and when I asked him who wanted to vote for he opened up the game and searched for Geroge Washington tile. He's too much.
On the way to school this morning, Liam said he wanted to vote for the candidate who liked to play Basketball ( Obama) and Maeve wanted to vote for the candidate who liked to eat
Granola ( Romney).
Taking the kids with me to vote with me after school--gotta teach them young!

5 year olds are funny
Funny conversations to remember.
Drove by new house over weekend & Maeve asked me where the bears live? I said "what bears". They said, "Mom....we are moving to the forest where all the bears live". We clearly have city kids:).
While in Ireland after a few days, Liam asked Karl and I why Nana always says Lovely, Well & Now....too funny! And he said it with her accent.

Ireland. Slainte!
It had been two years since we went to Ireland as a family. This year the kids were 5 years old and so excited to fly on the airplane, see Nana & Papa, Auntie Helen and their cousins. They were excited to meet Baby Maggie too.
The trip was a success. It was very relaxing and stress-free. Of course Liam was Karl's shadow and attached to him at all times, but that is par for the course when Daddy is around.
We kept busy, but also relaxed and enjoyed each other and family time.
We can't wait to go back in a few years and reunite again, wish we could do it multiple times a year:(

- We took walks, scooting up the Bawn to try and see the beloved horse from our last visit who was absent from his stable.
- Karl took the kids crabbing on North Beach which Liam loved, Daddy did too.
- We went to Tayto Adventure Park with Auntie Helen and the adults zip lined and the kids bouced on swings in harnesses. ( need to get pictures)
- We were guests at Maggies Christening and had a lovely dinner at Harbour Bar afterwards, then the siblings went out for drinks:)
- Karl and I had date day in Dublin and visited Gallagher's Boxty House--our favorite spot.Kids enjoyed a day alone with Nana and Auntie Helen
- We spent lots of time with our cousins playing and were so happy to all be together as a family.
- Papa sang Christmas songs to the kids in October and they laughed and laughed and laughed
- We met Auntie Helen's sister Fiona and enjoyed the visit
- We enjoyed an after dinner stroll with Nana and Auntie Helen one night while Maeve enjoyed being the photographer
We can't wait to go back in a few years and reunite again, wish we could do it multiple times a year:(
