Father Daughter Dance/Peep Wreath

Maeve had her First "Me and My Guy" Dance this past weekend. Joining the girlscouts was the best thing for her, Liam can't wait to join Boyscouts next year when they start.

Maeve was so happy to have a date night with Daddy and dance with her friends.

Prior to the dance, Maeve was trying on dresses and Liam came downstairs with her chosen dress just to be a ham, that he is.

Sign says "Hilarious Liam" that he wrote himself.

While Maeve and Daddy were dancing, Liam and I spent some mommy/son time making a peep wreath together for Easter. Luckily, we both think peeps are gross so there was no snacking and crafting!

Maeve & Mommy date night--Heartbeat of Home

I checked by Facebook page at 430pm on a Friday night and saw 4 free tickets to see Heartbeat of Home. Karl and I had seen it the week before, but I should have taken Maeve as he didn't enjoy it as much as he thought he would. After the Heartbeat of Home workshop and meeting the dancers, I knew Maeve would love to see the show and this was our opportunity to do so. I grabbed the tickets and hoped Karl and Liam would join us, but the boys wanted to stay home to eat popcorn and watch a movie. Maeve's friend from school Shannon, an irish step dancer, and her Mom Rere, Maeve's Girlscout Leader, joined us for the show. The girls had a great time and Rere and I enjoyed it too. Maeve danced in her seat the whole time and just loved it!! It was better the second time around after meeting the dancers and listening to their Q&A session about all their hardwork and dedication to get to where they were today. Their dancing is just AMAZING!

Maeve's First Feis

Maeve had her first Feis this weekend. This was the Forbes Feis and it was located in Quincy. Maeve did an amazing job dancing in front of an audience and judges. The judges comments revealed she had a lovely reel and great timing. She was nervous with the unknown, but pulled herself together, gathered her confidence and danced beautifully. She asked to stay all day to cheer on her fellow KOBA dancers and I obliged as she was so happy walking around with her big smile carrying her two trophies. I wanted to hold onto this moment forever and not crush her day.  Now, someone has the Feis Bug!! We love you Maeve Girl, we are so proud of all of your hard work and always trying your best. Remember as long as you try your best, you are always a winner in our eyes. xo
