Happy Heart Day!

Who doesn't love to show a little love on Valentines Day. Karl left early for work and I was surprised with chocolate covered strawberries and kids screamed with joy when they saw their new Brave & Rapunzel flip flops and Iron Man ( Uncle Roy's favorite superhero) & Toy Story flip flops. ...and a small bucket of candy. They indulged in a few pieces of candy while I made heart shaped toast for breakfast--gotta be quick when we leave for school at 7am. They loved the Target gift cards from Mimi & Poppi too, Maeve wants a doll/dog and Liam wants an Iron Man costume.

This was such a cute moment while driving to school today.
"Liam: "Mom, Valentines Day is my favorite holiday"
Me: "Why buddy?"
Liam: "Because you get presents and you can tell everyone just how much you LOVE them! "

And kids kept telling each other how much they loved one other all morning---I guess we are doing something right!

Below are pics from the last 5 years of Valentines Day! They were excited for there Valentines Day Party and handing out their handmade cards.

Winter Storm Nemo

New England, hasn't been hit with a Blizzard in two years. We are expected to see 24-30inches of snow with 50mph winds, crazy!. There is a driving ban in affect and everything is closed. People are frantic and nervous, but so many of us are excited to hunker down with a good, ole fashioned Blizzard, as long as we don't lose power. This will be the first Blizzard in our new house......hope I have nothing but FUN to report.

Kids had no school today, so we hit Energy Center for a last chance workout and took kids to splash pool. We came home, played, shoveled, made the first of many snowman, made valentines day boxes, painted and drank hot cocoa....and we are only 5 hours in!

Let the Blizzard begin, Friday February 8 12pm

Now time for sledding around the hood

Heather, Roy & Kate arrived at 5pm on Saturday as they lost power and they have been here with us for past 3 night. Kids are loving it and its nice to be with family. Saturday after the storm we played with our neighbors, Kelsey & MacKenzie, and Ken came over for a drink as he helped Karl finish the driveway afterway I gave up  3 hours in. Lisa joined us and we spent the afternoon & evening, drinking, eating and laughing. We all had a great time, kids played so nicely.

Sunday, we went sledding ( forgot the camera) and met our friends Lucy & Hannah, adorable twins who the kids used to swim with at Weymouth Club last year. We sledded by Liberty school, a fun time! You really feel like a kid again.
I have some videos to upload, but I am having some technical issues, hope to get them up here soon so we can remember just how much snow we had....crazy, but FUN!

Winter Activities

Keeping the kids busy during the cold, winter months while also enjoying family-time in our new home! I love it here so much I don't want to leave. We are expecting a Blizzard this weekend of 2 feet of snow--kids are beyond excited, me too...can't wait to sled.
