Florida in February, SCORE.

We aren't always the luckiest family when it comes to weather on our vacations, but this trip was fantastic. We managed to hit a record high of 88 in February and other days were between 80-85 degrees, pure bliss. We all had the winter blues with long dark days, a blizzard and lots of grey skies. Stepping off that plane into sunshine was the medicine we all needed. Heaven. We had a wonderful week and wish we weren't back home.

My poor Mom work up the day after we arrived with stomach bug and was down for the count for two days, poor thing. Glad I was there to help lysol the house and get her what she needed while she stayed away from us and kids so no one got sick :).

We spent our days swimming ( kids thrived & can swim without us), snorkling, riding on the golf cart getting lemonade at the soda station and looking for alligators ( kids drove on karl's lap), we took a pirate ship cruise, went to lion country safari and spent a day at my college friend's Mom;s clubhouse with three pools, a waterfall and a fun windy waterslide.  I managed to have a massage, mani/pedi, walk on the beach with Carolyn and a double date for sushi and Karl scored a golf lesson and played 18 holes with my Mom. We also enjoyed a dinner date and saw two movies, nice to feel "free".

We head back over Thanksgiving and can't wait to do it all over again.
