After a long February Vacation, I decided to fill up our days so I could work & have some peace & quiet all while the kids enjoyed themselves and that they did...oh MY!
We started out the week with a Dora themed Birthday Party for our good friend Emma who turned 3--it was just close friends and the kids had a blast playing in their backyard, singing Happy Birthday accompanied by cake and hoodies and they topped it off with a Dora pinata.
Tuesday: Liam went to Jedi Camp with Harrison and Maeve had a playdate with Charlotte & Catherine. Liam had his 2nd Street Hockey Game and even scored a goal according to him ( in the practice round he may have, lol).
Wednesday: This day started out a bit stressful. We were running a lil late to Maeve's Princess Camp and on the way, Liam said "uh-oh" as we were driving and I asked him if he threw something out the window and if it was his Monkey and he said Yes. So i needed to look for it ( mind you we were on a one-way busy street so I had to drive all the way around) & there was no sign of monkey. Liam told me he would be brave, but I was cringing for him as I knew that come bedtime he was no longer going to be brave but very sad that his beloved "Boo Boo's" was not joining him to sleep. We dropped Maeve off at camp and came back home and found Monkey on the bench. Liam said " Look who walked home", I was fuming, but glad he was home safe. Liam and I continued our "date" and met Jen and Harry at the Lego Store where I treated Liam to a Batman Lego set and Maeve to a Sleeping Beauty set ( I couldn't resist). We hit Johnny Rockets for lunch and then a quick play at Andrews Park before pick up. Maeve had a blast at Princess camp joined by Charlotte, Emily, Isabel, Rosie & Katie. We hit the park and met some more friends and topped the day off with their new bikes, they were so happy!!
Thursday: One more camp, oh these kids are tired. I enrolled them in Broderick's Gymnastics Camp and they did have a blast. We carpooled with Olivia and Rachel brought kids over to her house for lunch and a fun, all smiles playdate. We spent the evening at Mairin's house with some school friends and the adults had a dinner playdate too- perfect evening for all.
Friday: We hit the Puppet Theatre with some friends to see a strange show called Gnip Gnap about a circus with the lead character being a ping pong ball, random We hit Larz Anderson park with Neive & Liam and met a new friend, Lotte and her Mommy Tracey that was a sorority sister of mine at Lafayette.
Saturday: Mimi & Poppi came in from Florida and took kids and Karl out to lunch while I had a Mommy playdate that included a facial, pedicure & wine lunch with Sarah. Impromptu pizza dinner at Perrys.
Sunday: Rise & Shine to soccer with Coach Daddy, lets just say we hope our kids don't repeat the same performance next week. We spent the afternoon at the Big Apple Circus & a Train ride to take us there, kids were delighted. Liam loved the jump rope act, Maeve loved the Trapeze, Karl thought the whole thing was a little disappointing & I liked the Acrobats.
I am exhausted from our FUN week. Lets throw in a Moms' night out and two Stella & Dot jewelry shows for me too. I need a vacation! We leave for Florida in a few days, just wishing Karl was joining us.
